Though the new A5 shares only the name and humpback receiver profile with John M. Browning’s original autoloader, these new guns build on the legacy of reliability and performance earned by their namesake.

Great Shotgun
I bought this gun for waterfowl, 3 1/2 is a must for geese or large birds.
This Wicked Wing version with the cerakote is beautiful. Little pricey for a 12GA.
Good Job Browning otherwise –

I purchased the A5 tungsten to use for waterfowl. It is a great all weather gun that is simple in design and easy to maintain. This gun fits me perfect right out of the box. The longer sight plane that is the result of the hump back design is a big help to me and makes it very quick to point. Fit and finish is excellent. Really the only complaint I have is that it is VERY difficult to remove the roll pin on the recoil spring tube to access the recoil spring. Hopfully it will get easier to remove over time. Auto loading wasn’t something I was concerned with but now that I have used it, it is pretty nice. Gun is very light and doesn’t absorb much recoil at all. It kicks like my benelli, tolerable while hunting but I wouldn’t want to sling 3 1/2s out of her all day with a t shirt on. Chokes seem well built and pattern well enough for my liking. Packaging is decent, the hard case is a nice touch but functionally worthless for me as far as hunting goes.

I have a new A5 in a wooden stock and got this one to take the punishment of waterfowl hunting. So far it’s held up perfectly to the tasks I’ve put it through ( a few dove and teal hunts). You definitely won’t find a lighter shotgun than this. It’s a very sweet shooter.

I am a Benelli guy, have to say the ease of and accuracy of the Browning Maximus wicked wings is incredible. Figured for the sale price and rebate, if I didn’t like it I would sell it. I used it with out a flaw for the 6 hunts I did over early Teal season.

The product is firmly packed.

I bought this gun at the beginning of last season and it was a great gun, but this season the gun has been inconsistent on when it performs to the level of its price point the inertia system hasn’t been cycling any 3″ or 3.5″ shells despite being properly clean and oiled, but it will run 2.75″ without even being shouldered so the recoil spring is just to weak to handle the heavy loads gun will be sent back to browning

Been duck hunting 20 yrs. A5 shoulders and points best of any shotgun I’ve duck hunted with from Benelli to Winchester (which I have in the gun safe). Very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend.

Front sight post not flush. Blemishes on paint. Paint is not scratch resistant at all, any scratch exposes shiny metal. Bailey extended charging handles do not come with/on gun and they won’t, I know this because contacted the company.
